#lifeafter30
Hello friends and followers. I know it has been a while since I last posted anything and I apologize for that, but I have been very busy. The #30before30 challenge was amazing and I could not have imagined feeling better or more confident on my birthday. Lots of people have asked me if I actually accomplished all 30 things and the answer is almost, I fell short by 2. Below you will find the list of the things I did, but I think that being disappointed I didn’t do 30 things would be silly and miss the point. The point was to push myself outside of my comfort zone and do things that make me a stronger, more well-rounded and happier person. If that is the measure of success then I can say that this challenge was an overwhelming success.
There were definitely things I didn’t get to, like writing a will, learn to speak Italian or go skydiving but I think that there is plenty of time to do that. In fact, I have decided that once a month I am going to do something awesome and write about it. I have been so overwhelmed by the amazing feedback and support from readers of this blog that it made me want to continue, obviously not at the pace of one thing every day because let’s face it, I have a life and I was never more exhausted than the day after my 30th birthday when the epic party was over. As a result, I never got around to writing the #30before30 – epic party post, but suffice it to say, the evening was filled with fu and friends and the next day was very rough 😉 I now invite you all to my new blog #lifeafter30, thank you @flimseygoods for the brilliant name suggestion!
December was also a very busy month with parties every weekend, being nominated for a Notable Young Professional award and throwing my company’s first Christmas party. However, the stand-out moment for me will be my family’s Christmas vacation to Peru. Talk about stepping outside of my comfort zone, we are travelling to a new country and continent and have amazing things planned. I can’t wait to share my adventure and pictures with all of you.
